This little French Bulldog, spotted in Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells, at the end of April, obviously believes in the old English saying "Don't throw a clout 'ere May is out"!
I met this lovely old fella up at Bough Beech on this gorgeous March day. He's 14 years old, his name is Yoda, and he was out birdwatching with his pa, Eric Hands, who very kindly sent me this photograph. Eric has adopted/fostered several dogs with the Cinnamon Trust, which is an admirable scheme helping elderly owners and their pets. Check it out!

Sadly, last time I ran up Grove Hill Road in Tunbridge Wells, these little fellers had disappeared. Maybe they didn't go with the new business's chi-chi image?! Hopefully the one in Sainsbury's is still there - I like feeding him my coppers! UPDATE! Spotted them, or some just like them, in the Pantiles last time I ran through it!

We came across these two handsome fellers from Clitheroe, Lancashire, on a pleasant walk near Scheffau this summer. They and their female partners were on a camping holiday, and both bikes had little trailers behind for when the four-legged members of the party got tired of the Wilderkaiser mountain uphills!

I'm rather pleased to be Twitter-friends with a beautiful white boxer called Violet. My grandmother was called Violet, and these are two of her sisters, in India I believe, where they were born, with their long-haired dachshunds. I hope my new friend Violet will like the pic!!

South Downs Marathon - 8 June 2013
Five teams from Sarah's Runners travelled from Tunbridge Wells to take part in the South Downs Marathon - Relay section including 92 teams from around UK which started 30 minutes before the main marathon runners. We had a ball on a beautiful summer day in gorgeous Sussex countryside! Here are some of the canine spectators camped out on the South Downs Way (the wire-haired dachshund is licking the sweat off his owner's face as he lies down having just completed the extremely hard 3rd leg of the race!).
