Last night we had a great evening at our neighbour's 40th Birthday Barn Dance. Country dancing is so much fun - joining hands with friends and strangers, old, young and in between, trying something new together and whirling round the dance-floor, laughing, getting red in the face - a brilliant antidote for life's big and little worries. This morning lying in bed with a cup of tea, listened to Judy Collins being interviewed by Aled Jones. She's over here in the UK to collect a Lifetime Achievement Award from Folk on 2. It was worth paying attention to her wise words, and I intend reading her new book The Seven Ts. The interview ended with her singing Wings of Angels, which she wrote in memory of her son Clark, who committed suicide in 1992 - a beautiful song.
